This is Gretzky, our beloved Jack Russell. Named after the greatest hockey player ever, we think he is simply one of a kind. Gretzky plays alot with people and other dogs, and he has an abundance of toys. He likes his squeaky toy and rope the most. He is very active, but likes to snuggle in our bed at night. The strangest thing about him is that he has a taste for bananas. Though he is named after a hockey player, he spends a lot of time with the Dauphin Mavericks rugby team.

Her passion in life has always been Lurecoursing feild trials where she obtained her exellence running title and placed in the top 10 running greyhounds for 3 years in a row during her competition. She has also worked in her spare time as a therepy dog through the PALS program bringing smiles to the young and old visiting nursing homes, volunteering to raise money and awareness for PALS at information booths or attending the annual Calgary Santa Claus Parade wearing her Santa Suit. But most importantly... she is my beloved pet, whom I adore each and every day!

Because greyhounds can run in excess of 30 mph it is IMPERATIVE that they are only allowed to run loose in safe locations that are both free of holes, derbis, flat and fenced. Greyhounds are very docile, sensitive natured, gentle animals who surprisingly require less exercise than other high energy breed types because they are sprinters(like the
cheetah). They run like crazy for a few minutes then run out of energy and slowww right down.

She is the love of my life! She has the most optimistic outlook of anyone I know; laugh a lot, smile all the time, walk everyday, enjoy food, enjoy company, tell others you love them, and chase cats whenever possible.
She reigns over our home with her sister Sapphyre, 4 cats, and three bunnies. She is a short Giant Schnauzer but she's as stubborn as the best of them. She loves her Kong and her squeaky hot dog. She also loves to tell her Mom and Dad what to do from the comfort of her overstuffed chair.
She's a true Princess!

Sapphyre is my very first dog and I couldn't have asked for more of a challenge. She was a high-energy girl for the first 2+ years of her life and her modus operandi was to seek out trouble wherever she could find it.
Now she's a calm dog who has a huge fan club, everyone who meets her simply adores her. Her shaded past is simply a distant memory to her and to all who've grown to love her - including me.
